About Me
I grew up through CISD and I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2014. This will be my third year teaching 1st grade at BWE!

I am a single mom with a loving 3 year old daughter, Riley. She is the joy of my life. We enjoy going on adventures together and being outdoors.

Green daily folders go home every day which include important information from school as well as your child's conduct. Please check and sign the daily conduct  and return to school every day.

A Birnham Woods Bulldog folder will go home on Fridays with graded papers.

Please get in touch with me whenever you have a concern or question.  You can call the Birnham Woods main office (832-663-4200) and leave a message for me to call you back.  My conference time is from 8:40-9:25, and I would be glad to make an appointment to meet with you. Read 10 minutes every night. Ask you child questions before, during and after reading the book. This will help with their comprehension of the story.

Snack time will be in the morning.  You are encouraged to send nutritious snacks with your child each day.  Please no cookies, chips or candy.  

Children will visit the library once every two weeks. They will check out and return books during this time.  Please take care of the library books your child brings home.  The book must be returned in order for a new book to be checked out. Our library day is Thursday. I will send out reminder emails the week we are going to library.

Transportation Changes

ALL changes must be in writing.  You may send a note with your child.   We will not allow children to take a different mode of transportation without prior notification. You may email your request to In case of an emergency you may FAX a change to the school by 2:00p.m.  This policy is to help ensure that all children are accurately dismissed and get home safely.   


Birthdays are celebrated during the last 10 minutes of lunch.  You may send a store-bought treat to serve to our class on that day.  Please no candy or anything with nuts.   In order for birthday invitations to be passed out at school there must be an invitation for each of your child's classmates.  

Change of Clothes  
The nurse has requested that first grade students keep a change of clothes in their backpacks in case of spills or accidents.

 Please do not allow your child to bring toys to school.
